  • I use these on my baby and have never cut her fingers. I wonder if the other reviewers were using them correctly.

  • These are the worst clippers ever. I tried cutting my litte ones toenail that was so long and I actually cut her skin. She cried and bled forever. I felt like the worst mother ever. The guard that is supposed to protect the kiddo actually obstructs the view and you think you are cutting nail when actually got some skin. Awful, awful awful! I tried cutting my 4 year olds nails then too with them thinking baby might just be too small and that was not the case. Couldnt cut his either….

  • I have clipped my child’s little fingers more than his nails with these! That guard is awful and makes it nearly impossible to see what you are doing. Not to mention thiese clippers are sharp as can be. I’m so paranoid about clipping his nails now because of these.

  • The “guard” on this clipper is horribly ill conceived. Rather than protecting your baby’s fingers, it creates an obstacle to actually seeing what you are doing. As a result, I clipped skin off my baby girl’s finger with one of these…twice. I feel just awful. Buy something else. I found one with a lamp and another one with a magnifier…why can’t I have a clipper that has both?

  • There is something wrong with the “guard” built into these nail clippers. Though it’s seemingly designed to keep the fingertip skin away from the nail, it actually made the problem worse. Our son’s finger bled for more than an hour (and there is no good way to bandage a tiny fingertip) and the initial scream of pain made us cry long after he had relaxed. Don’t buy these clippers – even an hour with an emery board every couple of days is better than the trauma of cutting the tip of your child’s finger.
